All the transports are done with a email/written paper contract, it states all work you will be receiving and the date the transport will be accomplished.

We do not drop contracted transports to do a higher paying jobs, (like other companies) when it is your time/date for the transport , we will be there , we promise.

Note; I get phone calls all the time stating that a company was to transport a sailboat and they didn't show up on the date discussed, and that they don't know when the company will be able to accomplish the job, ALSO: with no refund to their deposit.

You might have to wait for a week or two for your transport date, but we will be there.

EMAIL or TEXT us for a quote, and any questions.
We are happy to talk with you about your sailboat transport needs.

(please note, I am a one person business, give me a few days to respond)

If you dont hear from me, PLEASE resend your request, IT is hard to keep up sometimes.

I have attached a current picture.

The boat is in the water at Blue Springs Marina in Ten Mile TN, I need it motored from the dock and loaded onto your trailer , I also need you to decommission it and prepare all for transport to Key Largo FL to Boats and Tires Marina, once there I need the vessel recommissioned and in the water.

I would like this done in a month if possible.

Mast Removal ONLY & Customer Preparations for Transport

We will remove the mast, 1st we measure the tune of the mast rigging and then demast and shrink wrap it for transport, also we go through the entire vessel to insure correct positioning of all items.

Customer needs to remove items before we arrive to transport their vessel. Remove main sail and boom and stow below or secure on deck, untie all end knots in the ends of all running rigging ropes, remove and secure bimini / dodger framing and canvases, remove locking turning cotter pins from turnbuckles, remove grills, anchors, and generally stow away any lose items in the cabin.  Items not removed by the customer that need to be removed for transport or to prevent damage to the item or vessel may result in extra money charged to the customer.

DO NOT loosen any turnbuckles - we need to measure the mast tuning before removing. YOU DO NOT need to remove Jib Sail from Furler system. We will measure the tuning of the mast rigging and then de-mast and shrink wrap it for transport. Before transporting we go through the entire vessel to insure correct positioning of all items secured and placed by customer.

Please see our page titled "Customer Preparation Pics" for detailed pictures on the steps you should take to prepare your boat for transport with Mast Only Decommisioning.

Reinstall Mast ONLY

We will re-step the mast, tune the mast rigging to pre-trip tensions, and connect the mast wires (deck stepped mast) for lighting and gauges.

The following work will be left for the customer to accomplish: installing boom, main sail, cooking grills, installing bimini / dodger framing and canvas, running the halyards and sheets (ropes) through any deck organizers and the rope clutch-lock systems in the cock pit area, installing the locking c-clips or cotter pins in rigging turnbuckles, taping any turnbuckles for chafing, connect mast wires, installing main sail and cover, anchor, dock lines and bumpers. Generally, we step the mast and the remainder of the work is the responsibility of the customer.  Remember all transports are under a government stop watch and a small amount of additional time can add an entire extra day to the job.

Upon request from the customer we may reinstall specific items.  Additional charges may result depending on the time taken to reinstall and number of items.  Remember all transports are under a government stop watch and a small amount of additional time can add an entire extra day to the job.

Full Service Decommissioning, $150-$350 charge

Nothing needs to be done; we will handle all chores to decommission the vessel. We remove everything needed to transport the vessel and properly wrap and stow everything away.  The final charge depends on the amount of time required for removal of items and number of items removed.  Remember all transports are under a government stop watch and a small amount of additional time can add an entire extra day to the job.

Full Service Recommissioning, $400-$800 charge

After re-stepping the mast and setting the tuning to pre-trip specs. All other items like sails, ropes, locking c-clips or cotter pins in turn buckles, bumpers, grills, and bimini and dodger frames and covers will be installed; there should be no additional work that the customer needs to do before going sailing.  The final charge depends on the amount of time required to reinstall items and number of items reinstalled.  Remember all transports are under a government stop watch and a small amount of additional time can add an entire extra day to the job.

Definition of Terms and Services

Loading and unloading vessel. Vessel being travel lifted on and off of trailer. We assist marina crew in every step of the operation including the placement into a slip or onto dry dock stands; we are working for you by insuring every step of the process is done correctly.

Water load and unloading. Boat ramps are sometimes difficult because of not knowing the water levels and length of the ramp, LTS takes full responsibility for motoring the vessel onto the trailer. Unloading is a very easy process: back trailer into water (slowly) and wait till it floats. Depending on the location of the new marina we will assist in the docking of the vessel if customer requests this. In most cases the customer will motor the boat off of trailer and into the new slip themselves. >>>>If it is determined that the ramp is insufficient , we will try to find another one, but in the case of not being able to load or unload because of water or ramp conditions, there will be additional cost's to the customer if assistance of a marina's travel lift or specialty construction crane is needed to accomplish the job. <<<<

Pressure Wash Bottom. Pressure washing the bottom of vessels removes algae and slime. It is the law to do this before transporting to new water.

Mast Preparations for Transport. All Masts transported are transported on the side of the trailer. They are first wrapped with a layer of foam to protect the mast from the standing rigging, and then all the running and standing rigging are attached to the outside of foam and finally wrapped with a final layer of plastic that tightly secures everything together and protects all from the weather.

Furler Jib Sails. All Jib and Mast Furler sails can be left on the furler system. They will be securely wrapped with protecting layers of foam and plastic for transport.

Removing Specialty Items for Transport. Disassembling high mounted equipment arches, solar panels, wind generators, and radar systems take additional time. They need to be noted and recognized in the work detail area of the contract before agreeing on terms.

Keel Stepped Mast Wiring Exceptions. In very rare cases previous owners might have installed wiring through walls or tight areas in the flooring which will take additional time to re-run and connect. This might be left for the customer to accomplish at a later time. All Keel stepped masts have the wiring coming out the side which allows people to access the wires without lifting the mast. *This is a rare situation and has only happened once. We do everything possible to help the customer accomplish the transport, but in very rare situations because of time constraints a customer might have to accomplish this later.

Keel Stepped Mast Sealing Wedge Systems. Vessels using Spartite Keel Mast Sealing System need to be noted specifically in the work detailed area of the contract. This product is very difficult to install properly, and if done wrong it makes removal of the mast impossible. If installed wrong it will need to be chiseled out before the mast can be removed, which takes an unbelievable amount of time to accomplish. We understand that new owners of a vessel might not know that this product is being used to seal the mast to the cabin top. About 60% of the time it is installed wrong and we will spend an additional 2 to 5 hours work to remove the mast. If this situation arises the customer will be notified and informed along with pictures and the removed product debris. The use of this system is rare but if it is used and it needs to be removed, the customer will be charged for additional labor. Additional charges range from $100-$700.

Outboard Motors.  We charge additional money to handle removing/installing and securing them for transport. The charge for handling a motor is $500.00
